We are very accessible for disabled passengers with disabled toilets, specially designed carriages and ramps to allow wheelchairs to the cafe area and playgrounds. Our newly built platform also has tactile slabs to allow partially sighted and blind people to recognize where the edge of the platform is. We even have baby changing facilities in our toilets to allow families to tend to their children without having to go to the boot of their cars.
We have 3 playgrounds for the children, a young child park which is inside the larger park so parents can keep an eye on all of their children while they play and another park which also has quoits for them to play. We also have crazy golf, ideal for the whole family if they want to play a game over several holes, and no skill is required.
For the more adventurous amongst you there is a woodland walk that starts in the yard and ends up over 80 feet below Pontprenshitw Bridge in the gorge which has a celtic leet flowing alongside the stream. This woodland takes you alongside the track allowing you to take lineside photos in safety as well as letting you walk to two of our platforms. On this walk you will find Buzzards soaring over the embankments and cuttings, rare wild flowers blooming throughout the year and butterflies which are rarely spotted flittering between flowers.
If you would like to know where to find us then see the map below.
We are between the A484 and A475, the A484 is the Carmarthen to Cardigan road and the A475 is the Cardigan to Lampeter road. There is a public bus service that runs between Carmarthen and Cardigan which drops people off in the village just around the corner from us should you wish to use public transport.
We have a large car park in the yard and we warmly welcome coaches and caravans as there is plenty of room.
